Arch Shelters
(Fabric Structures) have been a popular
portable buildings
solution in Queensland for
mining, aviation, rural, earth moving, construction
and general industries
as shade shelters
or
fully enclosed buildings
for close to 30 years.
Fabric Structures
are a cooler, airier option to metal roofs for a storage,
work or play space and comfortable as
Animal Shelters
too.
The difference between a "tent" and "arch shelter" is fundamentally the engineering. Arch Shelters are designed to fall in line with Australian Building Codes using strong tensioned membranes over steel frames. Ballast is calculated in accordance with Region Weather Ratings including some Cyclone Regions.
Industrial Tents
are a selection of
Aluminum or Steel Pavilions
which are the largest sized fabric structures available, up to 100 meters in width. Commonly used for temporary events and entertainment uses, they also have many industrial applications such as industrial barns and packing sheds. Permanent siting of Industrial Tents is ok beyond the Cyclone Belt ... i.e. 100-150k inland from the Queensland Coast or a maximum120kph locality wind speeds/gusts.
Splash (Marketing) began marketing and installing Shelters in Cairns in 1998, we really understand the cyclonic nature of the tropics and never try to push unsuited structures into this region. We now have our own brands, Arch Shelter is one of those brands, plus access to local and international designs sourced from Australia, USA, China and Europe.
